A Vision for Chinatown’s Future
Las Vegas’s Chinatown has long served as a cultural, economic, and social anchor for the Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander community. The Inspiring Spring Mountain Redevelopment Plan builds on that foundation by aligning public investment with community priorities.

Developed between 2024 and 2025, the Plan is grounded in direct community input from residents, business owners, property managers, cultural organizations, youth, and visitors. It recognizes culture as a living, evolving asset and positions it as a driver of economic activity, placemaking, and long-term stability.

At its core, the Plan guides Spring Mountain Road toward becoming a safer, more walkable, and more resilient corridor that supports small businesses, attracts visitors, and improves quality of life while protecting cultural identity.

The Plan establishes eight goals that guide reinvestment and policy decisions across the corridor:

1. Improve mobility, walkability, and transit access
2. Strengthen small businesses and economic vitality
3. Preserve and celebrate cultural heritage
4. Invest in sustainable and resilient infrastructure
5. Create safer, more welcoming public spaces
6. Promote arts, culture, and creative placemaking
7. Boost tourism and community identity
8. Expand diverse housing options

Together, these goals create a coordinated framework that removes blighting conditions, encourages reinvestment, increases property values, supports job creation, and strengthens the long-term tax base.
